Terms & Conditions

Last updated: May 2026

1. Who we are

Pavilion ("Pavilion," "we," "us," or "our") is a community brand for people building and backing lifestyle tech in Asia. Pavilion is operated by Whyknock Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong.

You can reach us at [hello@pavilions.asia].

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of [pavilions.asia] and any related pages, our editorial content and newsletter, our waitlist and request-to-join process, and our events (together, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.

2. What Pavilion is

Pavilion is currently in an early stage. Today the Services include our website and blog, our editorial newsletter ("Well Made"), and a waitlist / request-to-join process. Events, membership, and related features may be added over time and, when offered, will also be governed by these Terms (and by any additional event-specific terms we provide at the time).

Pavilion is founded by the team at Voyla, but is operated independently by Whyknock Limited. References to Voyla do not make Voyla a party to these Terms.

3. Eligibility

The Services are intended for people aged 18 or over. By using the Services you confirm you are at least 18. Some events may have their own age or other eligibility requirements, which we will state at the time.

4. Requesting to join and joining the waitlist

Pavilion is invite-only and curated. Submitting a request to join, joining our waitlist, or subscribing to Well Made does not guarantee you a place in the community, an invitation to any event, or membership of any kind. Admission and invitations are at our discretion. We may accept, decline, or revoke access at any time, without being required to give a reason.

5. Newsletter (Well Made)

If you subscribe to Well Made, you agree to receive periodic emails from us. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your email address.

6. Events (when offered)

When we run events, additional terms may apply, including registration, capacity, and conduct rules. You agree that:

  • We may refuse entry or remove anyone at our discretion, including for breach of these Terms or our code of conduct.

  • Events may be photographed, filmed, or recorded. By attending, you consent to appearing in such material and to our use of it to document and promote Pavilion, unless you tell us otherwise in writing in advance.

  • We may change, reschedule, or cancel an event. Where a paid ticket ever applies, any refund terms will be stated at the point of purchase.

  • You attend at your own risk and are responsible for your own conduct and belongings.

7. Code of conduct

Pavilion only works if the room feels safe and respectful. When using the Services or attending events, you agree not to: harass, threaten, or discriminate against anyone; share others' private information without consent; behave unlawfully; or disrupt the community or the Services. We may remove content or access for conduct we consider harmful to the community.

8. Editorial content — not professional advice

Our blog, newsletter, and other content are for general information and discussion only. They may describe companies, products, funding, valuations, and market trends drawn from public sources. This content:

  • is not investment, financial, legal, tax, or professional advice, and should not be relied on as such;

  • reflects opinions and information believed accurate at the time of writing, which may change or contain errors; and

  • is not an endorsement of, or affiliation with, any company or product mentioned unless we say so.

You are responsible for your own decisions. Always seek qualified professional advice before acting.

9. Intellectual property

The Pavilion name, wordmark, logo, website, and original content (including the Well Made newsletter and blog case studies) are owned by or licensed to Whyknock Limited and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them for commercial purposes without our written permission. You may share links to, and short quotations from, our public content with attribution.

Third-party names, logos, and trademarks mentioned in our content belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and commentary only.

10. Content you submit

If you send us content — for example, a message through our request-to-join form, feedback, or material you share for a possible feature — you keep ownership of it, but you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store, and reproduce it for the purpose of operating and promoting Pavilion (for example, considering your request, or featuring a product with your permission). You confirm you have the right to share what you send and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.

11. Third-party links and services

The Services may link to third-party websites or use third-party tools. We don't control and aren't responsible for third-party content, products, or practices. Your use of third-party services is governed by their terms.

12. Service provided "as is"

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Whyknock Limited and its directors, officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services or attendance at events. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Hong Kong law (for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence).

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Whyknock Limited and its team from claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or your conduct at an event.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version with a new "last updated" date, and material changes take effect when posted. Continuing to use the Services means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. You agree that the courts of Hong Kong have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: [date]

1. Who is responsible for your data

Pavilion is operated by Whyknock Limited (Business Registration No. [BR number]), a Hong Kong company, which is the data user responsible for your personal data under the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO). For any privacy question, contact us at hello@pavilions.asia.

This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights. It applies to [pavilions.asia], our newsletter, our waitlist / request-to-join process, and our events.

2. What we collect

When you request to join or join the waitlist, we collect the information you give us, which may include: your name, email address, the role you select ("you are a…"), who referred you (optional), and any message you choose to send.

When you subscribe to Well Made, we collect your email address.

When you attend an event (when offered), we may collect registration details you provide, and photos or recordings taken at the event.

Automatically, when you use the site, we may collect limited technical and usage data (such as device type, browser, approximate location, and pages viewed) through cookies or similar tools, to keep the site working and understand what content is useful.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data, and we ask that you not send it to us.

3. How we use your data

We use your personal data to:

  • review and respond to your request to join, and curate the Pavilion community;

  • send you Well Made and updates about Pavilion and our events (where you've asked to hear from us);

  • operate, host, and improve the website, newsletter, and events;

  • understand which content and events resonate; and

  • comply with our legal obligations and protect the community.

We rely on your consent for marketing emails, which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data.

We share personal data only with service providers who help us run Pavilion — for example, our form / waitlist tool (Google), our email / newsletter platform (Mailchimp), our workspace and storage (Google), our website host (Godaddy), and analytics (Google Analytics) — and only so they can provide those services to us. These providers may process data outside Hong Kong.

Although Pavilion is founded by the team at Voyla, we do not share your personal data with Voyla, or with any other organization, for their own marketing purposes.

We may also disclose data where required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of Pavilion, our community, or others.

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to run the site and measure usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some may affect how the site works.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above — for example, for as long as you're on our waitlist or subscribed, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal and record-keeping needs. You can ask us to delete it sooner (see your rights below).

7. How we protect it

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to use reputable providers.

8. Your rights

Under the PDPO (and, where applicable, other laws), you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;

  • correct it if it's inaccurate;

  • withdraw consent and unsubscribe from our emails at any time; and

  • ask us to delete your personal data, subject to any legal retention requirements.

To exercise any of these, email hello@pavilions.asia. We may need to verify your identity before acting. We aim to respond within the timeframes required by law.

9. International visitors and transfers

Pavilion is based in Hong Kong and serves people across Asia and beyond. If you access the Services from elsewhere, you understand your data will be processed in Hong Kong and by our providers in other locations. Where required, we take steps to protect data transferred across borders.

10. Children

The Services are intended for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version with a new "last updated" date, and material changes take effect when posted.

12. Contact and complaints

For any privacy question or request, email hello@pavilions.asia  or write to Whyknock Limited at [registered address]. If you're in Hong Kong and aren't satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD).
